In 2026, Midtown Scholar Bookstore and Community Reads are delighted to sponsor the Harrisburg Book Festival’s special series of author talks and programs honoring America’s 250th!

Housed in a renovated 1920's movie theater, the Midtown Scholar Bookstore is a vibrant artistic and cultural hub located in Pennsylvania's capital city. Named Bookstore of the Year by Publishers Weekly and voted Simply the Best Independent Bookstore in the region since 2004, the bookstore-cafe encompasses three buildings and boasts over 200,000 new, used, rare, and collectible books for readers of all ages.
